Veterinarian Dean Conlon has enjoyed his relationship with lover Scott Whittaker so much he felt a bit of celebrating was in order and is planning a night of seduction. Dean feels they deserve a night of passion served up hot and spicy. Unfortunately, the foul mood Scott woke up in coupled with his impression of Ebenezer Scrooge on a kitten has taken the fizzle out of the sizzle. Dean needs to get away from his lover and reevaluate the promises they made to one another. Will the two men find a way to reconcile their difference before the clock strikes twelve on New Year’s Eve?

Kate Steele brings back the two men we grew to love from A Sure-Fire Cure in New Year’s Fire. A lover’s spat during the holidays is no fun, but the makeup session more than made up for the couple’s difference of opinion. Scott is definitely going to have to learn to open up to Dean a bit more. Lack of communication is sometimes the culprit behind misunderstandings. The characters show just how far they have come not only as a couple but also as men. Dean and Scoot are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to maintain a solid and loving relationship.
