Sunset Bay
Megan Greene has everything that she could ever ask for: a successful career as an accountant, a chance to make the youngest partner, an upcoming wedding to her attractive fiancé and a father who understood her. Megan’s life isn’t completely perfect though. She is estranged from her sister who made Megan’s life hell when they were younger and a mother who has always told her that if she was only pretty she’d be able to have someone. But Megan was happy with everything she had, or so she thought. It all changes the day a lawyer shows up at her office with news that the father she has known all her life isn’t her biological dad, and then Megan’s life starts to unravel.
Megan soon learns that nothing is quite how she’s always seen it and that she needs to start going after exactly what she wants. She starts with Travis, an old boyfriend that she runs into in Vegas and never could forget.
Sunset Bay is an intriguing story of love, life and realizing your dreams. Megan thought she had everything that she ever wanted, but as her perfect life starts falling apart, she begins to realize that she had been taking the easiest route through life and letting the dreams she had fall to the wayside. Travis has had a hard life with many disappointments that has forced him to keep himself under control at all times, never letting himself get to close to anyone except for Megan who burrowed under his skin before he ever knew it.
Ms. Mallery has created an enchanting story that was a delight to read. The humor and heart piercing emotions throughout the tale make for a lively read that is well deserving of our highest rating.
