Most Likely To Succeed
Thomas Harrigan’s life turns upside down the day he’s sent on a mission to slay a dragon. Well, not quite a dragon, more like sent to get his boss Clark Sterling for a meeting. Nevertheless, Clark has put the fear of the almighty in his employees so he might as well be a fire-breathing beast.

Clark takes one look at Thomas and thinks sexual harassment lawsuit be damned, that’s a man I want to know emotionally, carnally – completely! Thomas’s beauty and mind draw Clark in and he’s ready to open his life and heart up for the second time in his life.

One confrontation tears their fairy-tale relationship apart, leaving Thomas hurt and Clark feeling betrayed and more alone than ever before. Is this all a misunderstanding or has Clark chosen his lover poorly for the second time?

Shawn Lane is fast becoming one of my favorite authors thanks to Most Likely To Succeed. The story touches on the subjects of trust, forgiveness, and finding love when you least expect it. Thomas is as passionate as he is compassionate, and I could clearly understand Clark’s attraction for the younger man. When you top that with a body with the ability to invoke hot flashes and an incredible mind to keep you mentally stimulated honestly, there was no way Clark could escape the allure. Clark was no deadbeat himself, a self-made man with a body made for sin. This couple was the epitome of perfection in and out of the bedroom. I loved watching them interact, and Thomas’s humor left me weak from laughter. The story is wonderfully written, the characters feel like old friends, and the plot may be one you’ve read before but Shawn Lane writes the story so it shines like a new penny. Most Likely To Succeed has made it to my must read again list, and I look forward to adding more books from this talented author.
