Thursday's Child
Vauk hasn’t known kindness in decades. After he was captured, caged, then paraded around as a carnival attraction he didn’t expect to ever know freedom again. However, when Travis and Cembran discover the true nature of Vauk, they rescue him and give him the freedom he wished for in a safe and private environment.

Trent never expected to find others like him or to attend a Bacchanal, but that’s just what happens when he is introduced to Travis and Cembran. He not only finds a new group he can consider family, but a connection to Vauk. As their attraction builds, so does the trust and caring shared between the two satyrs. However, an evil presence wants to harm Vauk. Will they discover who the culprit is before it’s too late?

Thursday's Child is part of Andrew Grey’s Children of Bacchus series. Vauk has suffered decades of being treated as an unfeeling animal. Watching him emerge from that dark time whole and with a heart full of love and compassion was compelling. I knew he didn’t trust easily, few would after living through the torment, but I was happy to see someone was able to penetrate his shell. Trent’s natural abilities helped him find a connection with Vauk. Regardless of his handsome features or his sharp mind, Trent had doubts about his abilities to keep the man he loved safe and in his presence. His modesty and lack of ego made me like Trent more throughout the story. There are definitely twists I didn’t see coming that kept my attention and made the story anything but predictable. I’ll be looking for more of Mr. Grey’s stories in this series. His ability to mingle folklore with reality while adding romance and suspense has made Mr. Grey’s books climb to the top of my must read list.
