Betraying the Prince
Celina has lived her whole life under Prince Joqua’s protection. Even though she isn’t of his blood, he has always treated her like one of his own daughters. Even after her mother broke her wedding vows and left with an American, leaving Celina behind, the prince always loved her. The only difference between the girls is the prince allowed Celina to continue her studies long after her sister finished hers. Now all of a sudden Prince Joqua informs Celina that in two days time she is leaving for America with an acquaintance of his, a Mr. Randall, to learn to become an American. Celina not only doesn’t want to leave, but she feels that her mother betrayed the prince in the worst way. In spite of her feelings, off Celina goes to America to a culture she has no understanding of. Celina vows to one day return to see her sister and brothers. All the new sites amaze Celina, but none more than Mr. Randall’s brash and effervescing son Drake. What will become of Celina? How will she adapt to her new world? Will there be more than one surprise in store for Princess Celina?
Ms. Kayn has created a fascinating story about one woman’s journey toward a new life and all the crazy situations she gets herself into. I loved how Drake somehow managed to stay in control of himself when Celina put him in situations that he never expected, even though he is very attracted to her. Celina and Drake’s feelings for each other were wonderful to watch as they blossomed. There were many wonderful and exciting situations for Celina to experience as she learned that things in her life may not be exactly as she thinks they are. Thanks go to Ms. Kayn for a wonderful story.
