Yveni has led a charmed life. He's a prince who has had a great childhood. That is until his father dies and his sister's betrothed tries to kill him. He must flee the country he loves so much for three years until he grows to the age of twenty-one and can rule. Along his journey back home he meets a lot of kind people-and a lot more that are not so kind. He also meets the love of his life, but a lot stands in his way of happiness.

Yveni's journey was absolutely entertaining to read about! Many Roads Home seems to have it all: action, adventure, romance, drama. And Yveni is the perfect character to take the journey with. Yveni starts out a seventeen year old boy and ends up a man by the end of the novel. Watching Yveni grow emotionally was probably the best part of the story for me. The romance was touching and at times left me on the edge of my seat even more than the action did. Ann Somerville proves to be a wonderful storyteller with Many Roads Home, one that puts plot, characterization, and setting together seamlessly. Many Roads Home is highly recommended!
