Val Lancaster has admired Rick Ramone's work and his very attractive picture in magazines and news articles since Val was a young boy. In fact that is why Val becomes an archaeologist. Val expected to meet Rick in person one day but doesn't expect to meet him on a rescue mission. What they discover, besides the fact that they both are very attracted to each other, is that the mission is spun in a web of lies that they have to decipher before it's to late.

This is one adventure I'd take again and again! Cassie Stevens certainly shows she can write an adventure story. Rick Ramone is an ex-marine, which is why his family picks him to go in the rescue mission, and Val is ensnared in by his family as well. The emotional twists and turns in Tangled Web was a pleasant surprise, one that was entirely unpredictable. This coupled with the adventure is probably what made this story so worth reading. The setting also lent to the adventure well, being in the jungle, not knowing what to expect just from the habitants of the area. Tangled Web is filled with romance, suspense, and intrigue. Highly recommended by this reviewer!
