Brock is a vampire slayer with a secret. A big secret. Dakota is a vampire who also has a secret, one that could get him killed. During a chance encounter Dakota and Brock discover each other's secrets. They now find themselves in a unique position. One that allows them to bargain sexual favors for help. Brock is the one that is in dire need of help this time but the price Dakota names may be too high. He wants Brock to be his forever, no more furtive exchanges, no more leaving when the price is paid. Can they reach an agreement and in the end save each other?

Interesting little short story about two men who use each other for mutual gain, or so it seems on the surface, but underneath it is something much deeper. Brock and Dakota use the excuse of "payment" in order to have sex with each other. It's worked for them for years, especially since they live in a world where neither can be who they truly are. Both have secrets that they hide from the world and it is only when they join forces that they can overcome them. I thought that the chemistry between the two was good but there wasn't really enough time to develop the storyline for me. I thought it felt a bit rushed and there was a lot happening in too short a time. I did enjoy the story and will read other work from Lexie Davis.
