Kindred Spirits 1: Ethan's Choice
Ethan Roberts is looking for a weekend getaway and Whiskers' Seaside Inn is just the picturesque place to get it. Everything about the place appeals to Ethan on first sight. But when mysterious unexplainable events begin happening around him, Ethan finds himself torn between belief and disbelief.

Cade Wyatt is the hunky handyman who loves the Inn, and it shows in the care with which he cares for the place. Cade and Ethan are immediately smitten with each other and it's up to Cade to explain and convince Ethan that there is much more going on at the Inn than meets the eye.

Can Cade convince Ethan that his feeling of homecoming is a true one and that they are both kindred spirits and belong at Whiskers' Seaside Inn?

I've enjoyed both authors' work in the past, I've enjoyed their collaborations as well and Ethan's Choice certainly didn't disappoint. In fact I can honestly say it's been my favorite of their collaborations, maybe even my favorite of their single works as well. The plot was no surprise, it's been done before but I've not read of it being done better. The way it was written is what makes this so special. The skepticism of Ethan was believable as well as his yearning to believe Cade isn't crazy and all this paranormal stuff is real. It is obviously a lead into a series but it was finished in such a way that it can be read without ever reading another book in the series. But, if the following books are as good as this one then you would really be missing out. The chemistry between Cade and Ethan was immediately apparent and fed into the storyline without distracting from the plot. Both were strong male leads and their strengths and weaknesses complimented each other making them a perfect whole when they were together. The spirits at the Whiskers' Seaside Inn were interesting and I can't wait to find out each one's story as this series progresses.
