The One That Was Lost
Elliot is a player. He has no desire to settle down and finds the thought nauseating. When a night out at the club turns into a nightmare for him he finds himself alone with no one to turn to. His best friend Alex has reunited with his lover Michael and he doesn't want to intrude on their happiness. So he offers to go to Boston to retrieve Michael's things and while there runs into Jamie, Michael's best friend and one of his former hook ups.
Jamie is still just as attracted to Elliot as he was the first time they met. He enjoys the time they spend together and knows that it's just casual on Elliot's part. But when the intensity of their relationship builds both men realize that they have gone way past casual and Elliot runs.
But Elliot soon realizes that he's made a mistake but is it too late to convince Jamie that this time is different?
The One that was Lost follows the story of Elliot and Jamie. Both were secondary characters in The One that got Away. I really enjoyed the first story and this one was even better. Elliot was not what I thought at all. He was a bit of a player in the first story, well...not even a bit of a player, he was a major player. Now something has happened that has him running scared. He travels to Boston as a favor to his best friend's lover and uses the chance to try and get over his trauma. This is where Jamie comes in. Jamie was a sweet, sweet man. In the first story he seemed a bit too good to be true but here he comes across as human, still sweet, sensitive and caring, but human. I teared up a few times during the story and giggled a few times as well. Well written with strong characters, The One that was Lost is one great find. TC Blue is a new to me author but one that I eagerly anticipate reading more from in the future.
