Tri-Omega Mates 4: Stolen Desires
Ryce and Saul have been mated for five years. Five years of both Heaven and Hell for Ryce. Heaven at those times when Saul is the best, most attentive, loving mate ever and then Hell come every Friday night. Hell because every Friday his beloved mate leaves him to go to town and find some random stud to mess around with. What makes it even worse is that Saul makes no secret of his tomcatting. But the day has come when Ryce has had enough. Two can play at this game so he heads to town to find his own young stud.
Cary is just passing through town when he meets Ryce. The two instantly realize that they are destined to be mates. But Cary is leery of consummating their mating bond because he knows that he is a tri-omega, and he must have his other mate or he will slowly die. But Ryce is sure that Saul is Cary's other mate and Cary allows himself to be claimed.
But all is not what it seems with Saul, and now he has not one but two mates to protect. Can Cary and Ryce convince Saul that they are all that he needs? Will Saul finally tell Ryce the truth?
Author Stormy Glenn has developed a formula that seems to work well for her with the Tri-Omega Mates series. Being as this is the fourth book, I know how it's going to play out without even opening the book. But, Ms. Glenn has a way of writing that makes me forget what I know is coming. Her characters leap off the page and grab me by the imagination and refuse to let go until the very end. I want things to work out for them, I want them to find the solution, and I'm rooting for them all along the way. I'm pleased to say that this was probably my favorite of the series so far. I really liked that Saul seemed to be such an insensitive jerk and Ryce was...well I'm not sure how to describe Ryce. He seemed to be one of those people who are self-sacrificing to their own detriment. But at the same time he was finally realizing that two could play at whatever Saul was playing and coming into his own. Cary was the character that really made this story for me though. He was the sweetest thing ever, and I just wanted to snatch him up and squeeze him myself. This was a fast paced, engaging romp that had me alternately holding my breath and cheering them on.
