Yummy Love 2: Blueberry Muffins is the story of Dylan and Joel, secondary characters in the first Yummy Love story. It is a homoerotic love story.

Detective Joel Tristan is on the trail of stolen elf coins and they lead him right to Dylan. Dylan is an Elf with a past that's best left in the past. But now he runs a shelter for magical beings in need of a helping hand. When he and Joel begin their journey in search of the gold coins they find danger and something completely unexpected - each other.

I'm glad that Kate Hill explored the characters of Dylan and Joel a bit deeper. I was very interested in Dylan from the first story and was curious about his past. Joel was a strong character as well and his cynical nature was an added bonus. It allowed me as a reader to see how being surrounded by the fantastical everyday could quickly become just as mundane as the non-fantastical. The chemistry between the two was well written and allowed a connection between the story and the romance without it seeming forced. The central mystery was fun enough to hold my attention while I waited for the story to get back to the romance. This is a great series of quick little reads to give a reader something spicy to snack on.
