Carmella is a descendant of Tyre, the most powerful man to ever live, and the most evil. Carmella is now fighting for her life because there are those that would see her dead, because of her lineage. She is also fighting herself, because it is an immense struggle to control the powerful fire burning just below her skin.

Carmella has a lesson to learn-that she cannot control her power on her own. In order to learn and accept that lesson, the only man she has ever loved, Torren, will have to betray her in the worst way possible, by turning her over to the agency that may want her dead.

Lora Leigh gives a life to her characters and story that is nearly breathtaking in intensity. Carmella is strong and knows that she needs to keep complete control over her power. Her struggle with herself to maintain that control was hard to read, but her struggle to relinquish that control was agonizing and just a bit erotic.

The plot was intriguing and just a bit mysterious. I get a feeling that there is much more to this story and have to wonder if there is a series. I can only hope that there is a series, because this book only left me wanting more. Ms. Leigh's spin on psychics was different, kind of combining psychics with elemental witches, making this a very fun and unique paranormal story.

The restrained passion in Carmella was hot enough to nearly leave a burnt trail on the pages. When that passion is finally let loose, it was like fireworks were shooting right off of the pages. This is a very erotic book from nearly the first page to the very end.

I could go on and on about how well I enjoyed this book, but I am just going to highly recommend that anyone who enjoys erotic paranormal romance to pick this book up. Ms. Leigh is a master at her work and her talent fairly drips from every word.
