As a Settler it’s Megan’s job to put the Unsettled to rest, but when Megan was attacked by Reanimated Corpses, she was more than happy to live her life not settling the Unsettled anymore. But that didn’t stop them from showing up four years later giving her no choice but to settle again. Then bad things started to happen. Someone was using black-magic, and they were going after Megan. Why is it that Megan’s homecoming dream seems to be slipping farther and farther from her grasp?

This book had everything that a great book should. It was very solid and entertaining: a very outgoing and funny heroine, good vs. evil, love interest, and the ever present drama. You never knew where this book was going to take you next, and I loved that it kept me guessing. The twist, especially, was so surprising I thought that I was going to fall over in shock. I was constantly laughing because Megan was such an enjoyable character. The way that she just brings the book together is really unique; I’ve read books that would make the character seem totally out of place.
