Art for Art’s Sake
Matt Rhodes is a typical college student, ready for a party. When he meets local artist, Skylar Novak, at one of his parties he agrees to pose nude for one of his paintings. His roommates don’t understand why Matt would agree to pose nude. Matt, who is in-the-closet with all of his friends and family, finds the artist attractive and things quickly turn passionate between the two men. But Skylar has a secret, one that he shares with Matt. And Skylar’s secret could change their lives forever.

I’m a first time reader of Karma Eastwick’s. Art for Art’s Sake is a story that will leave you turning the page, wanting to know what happens next. The main plot line with the ghost is unique. Definitely new for me! I found that the romance between Matt and Skylar got in the way of the main plot a bit, but Ms. Eastwick quickly brought the romance and the main plot together brilliantly at the end. Matt and Skylar were interesting characters that were uniquely individual, even if some of the dialogue between the two men seemed a bit forced at times. Despite these few minor issues, I definitely enjoyed Art for Art’s Sake and look forward to more from Ms. Eastwick in the future.
