Tyler Manning has been in love with Hearn Sutherland since he got to Cattle Valley, but Hearn was already involved with his long time lover Mitch. Mitch has been dead for quite a while now though and Hearn still seems to be carrying a torch. Tyler is at his wits end as to what to do to make Hearn notice him. But with the position of Mayor open Tyler finds a new opportunity to encourage his long time friend, not only to put his name in the running but to try new things as well.

Hearn’s running opponent, Nate Gills, finds that running for Mayor causes his past to be revisited, something he never wanted to do. Now he’s forced to face the past and share it with his partners, Rio and Ryan.

The Last Bouquet is part of the Cattle Valley series and should be read in sequence. The whole Cattle Valley series is a must read for me, however this particular story was on my must-read-as-soon-as-possible list. Hearn and Tyler’s story started a few books back with an automobile accident. And of course the whole Cattle Valley series started with Nate. Great characters like Nate, Hearn, and Tyler have me coming back for more every time. I’m definitely a big fan of Carol Lynne and this series!
