In the five years since Diana freed Alric from his underground prison, their love has grown strong. Now it could all be taken away. After a vicious attack, Diana has no memory of what happened or who Alric is. Her body craves him, but she is scared and unsure of what is real. Alric will do everything he can to help Diana remember him. He refuses to give up on her, but a demon god is hell bent on turning things to his favor, no matter who is in the way.

The third book in the Immortals series, Dark Immortal is a great addition. I have loved Alric since we were first introduced to him, and I was excited when I learned he had his book coming. The glimpses we had of his and Diana's relationship left me wanting more, and Dark Immortal does not disappoint. It is not always easy for me to get into a story that has a heroine with memory loss. However, the love that is between these two is still there, and there is no denying the connection. Seeing the struggle they both go through was emotional to read, and I love a book that can evoke such feelings. Alric is the perfect tortured hero, and he was the story for me. The demons are horrible, but in a good way. I even enjoyed reading the demon’s point of view, and there was never a lull in the story. I didn't expect things to turn out the way they did; it was refreshing to read a story that wasn't predictable. Dark Immortal by J. K. Coi is emotional, thrilling, sexy, and a page-turner. I didn't want it to end, and I absolutely cannot wait for the next book.
