Clara Fox works at a hip art gallery. She enjoys her work but it can get tiresome after a while. In addition Clara’s sex life has been pretty non-existent since she broke up with her boyfriend Paul. But that all changes when Clara receives an email from a mysterious man. He calls himself Mr. X. Soon Clara and Mr. X. are conversing about their sexual fantasies. Through Mr. X Clara feels more adventurous and starts trying new things, but do these new things involve taking a chance and meeting Mr. X for some fun?

I have read a few other Black Lace books and really enjoyed them. They are just right. They are not too long or too short. Plus, these books have a good moan factor. Unfortunately Lured by Lust missed the mark for me. It was like shopping for a car… you expect to leave with a Mustang but instead you find that you have left with a Pinto. I say this because the teasing that went on between Clara and Mr. X started out great. It seemed like their interaction was building up to something hot but then it fizzed. I am willing to give Ms. Picarda another chance in the future.
