Daring Time
Chicago Detective Ryan Daire thinks that he just might be losing his mind. After spending one evening in the sprawling mansion he has received as a gift from his mentor, he is seeing more than just glimpses of a beautiful woman. Hope Stillwater inhabited Ryan’s new home in 1906, and yet, he is seeing her, touching her, consumed by her in the year 2008. How can that be possible? After discovering who she is and learning that she was murdered, Ryan is driven to save her and claim her as his own. The century that separates them, and the evil man who seems to be the corrupting force behind the slave trade in two different eras, threatens everything for Hope and Ryan. Will he be able to save her and will their love survive through time?
Daring Time is an intense and erotic journey though time. The author really wove an intricate and colorful story, filled with details and action. She painted such a clear picture, I felt as if I was transported through time with the characters. Ryan Daire is that dominant hero we all secretly wish would come to our rescue, carry us off and tie us to his bed. He had me good and worked up with the way he could wield a paddle and deliver a good spanking. To say that the sex was hot would be too mild. I found myself panting through the scenes and ever so glad that I had a special someone to grab when I was done reading for the night. Beth Kery, my husband thanks you!
This book was about so much more than unbelievable sex though. I have to admit, that it was Hope who stole my heart. She was passionate, daring and determined. A woman ahead of her time, yet she still managed to be sweet, innocent and believable. It was exciting to feel her sexual awakening and brave this journey with her. Hope is a character that will stay with me long after the pages of this book have been closed. I look forward to reading more from this author and Daring Time gets a clear recommendation from me.
