Zack Elliott, a werewolf, goes to Last Call to satisfy his dominant streak, but he is never quite satisfied. He loves a woman he cannot have and must keep his desire for her under control at all times, while living near her and maintaining a close platonic relationship.

Iris is a demon, but has spent the last seventy years of her life living as a human. She fears the demon inside of her, so she denies herself any pleasure because she does not want to be tempted to travel the dangerous path she nearly traveled years ago. Iris is in love with Zack but knows that she can never have him because it would mean the end of Zack. After all, even an alpha werewolf cannot handle the demon inside of Iris, or can he?

Tequila Sunset is a quick, very hot read. I felt sorry for Iris and Zack because they have both been denying themselves the pleasure and love that is right there in front of them just because they do not want to hurt the other. Zack thinks that Iris is a human, and he knows that she can’t handle his wolf. Iris is a demon who knows that even a strong wolf can’t handle her demon. If it wasn’t so sad and touching, it would be almost funny. After Zack finds out what Iris is, he will no longer be denied her. Their subsequent meeting in the bedroom explodes with passion and love. This book was a great read and would have been just a little better if it was longer, so that I could have learned more about Zack and Iris. I look forward to reading the next book in the After Hours series.
