Face of the Maiden
After the death of her father, a cousin took Celia and her sister in. She has finally come home from school to a strange new place. The moment she arrives in Ashbourne Hall, she begins having strange, life-like dreams. The house itself seems fairly creepy, so she chalks it up to that. Upon awakening, she rushes off to locate her sister and runs headlong into the man she saw in her eerie dream earlier.

Phillip Leighton is more than surprised at meeting Celia. He has been having the same dreams with equally vivid details, but he quickly dismisses them, thinking they hold no meaning. Phillip already has a woman in mind that he is hoping to marry, but he can't seem to fight his attraction to Celia. What will it take to make Celia and Phillip realize that love is worth fighting for?

Face of the Maiden is a heart-wrenching tale about two people brought together to solve a past tragedy's events... and discovering that love is where you least expect to find it. Once again, Ms. Wildes proves to be a superb storyteller. Face of the Maiden carries an air of mystery that will have readers glued to each and every page. Ms. Wildes' touches on the supernatural a bit, but definitely doesn't overdo it. Celia and Phillip are two extremely passionate and straightforward people... and those are some of their characteristics I really admire. I would love to see Ms. Wildes' secondary characters, Francis and Jason, get their own stories... both men seem intriguing. I am a huge fan of Ms. Wildes, and I look forward to reading her future novels.
