Barbarian's Bride
Eric the terror, half brother to King Guthrum of the Danes, is tried of the war. He wants to settle down. He is not sure if he can settle down because all he has known is war. While planning an attack against one of King Alfred’s royal residents he has a dream. In this dream there is a beautiful woman that calls out to him for help. When they take the resident he discovers the woman of his dream has been left behind by her king, along with her ill father, to face them alone. Eric is intrigued by this woman that held a sword to protect herself and her father from him. He sees that she has been hurt badly by one that she has trusted and loved. Now he must help her to heal so she can love him and only him.

Merwenna of the Saxons has been the steward of Chippenham fortress since her father’s illness. She has been a dutiful daughter and loyal supporter of King Alfred, her godfather. She is unprepared for what the king asks of her but she fulfills her part in this sinister act so she and her father will have a place to live. She is brutally used by the one person she loved and trusted, left to die at the hands of the Danes, and now she must live the nightmare of her life. Will Eric help her heal and what will become of her?

Rodine Dobeck has given us a beautifully written love story that holds nothing back. Barbarian’s Bride shows both sides of the medieval battle in a classic love story where characters beat all obstacles to find love. This story hooks the reader from the very beginning and never let’s goes until the end. Eric and Merwenna’s love story will intrigue, thrill, and chill the readers as the story unfolds. Ms. Dobeck gives the readers everything they want and so much more. Barbarian’s Bride will take the readers on the emotional roller coaster ride of a lifetime. Ms. Dobeck is a very talented author that has unique twists that leave the readers begging for more. Barbarian’s Bride is a fantastic read that should not be missed. I cannot wait to see what she will come up with next.
