Highland Scandal
Jack Haines, Earl of Lambourne, is on the run from the Prince of Wales. He decides that taking a vacation to his estate in Scotland is the perfect place to lay low until this scandal with the Princess of Wales blows over. He is not expecting to being taken prisoner by Laird Carson Beal. The laird gives him a very unusual offer and that offer includes a hand fasting to the laird’s niece, Elizabeth Drummond Beal, and Jack’s life would be spared. Jack must be content with a hellion, evade bounty hunters, and face Elizabeth’s fiancé.

Elizabeth Drummond Beal is in mourning for her father, and she is in shock of what her uncle has done to her and her crippled sister. Her father left them penniless and with an estate that does not support itself, so they are indebt to their uncle. The only dowry that she has is the estate. She has an understanding with Mr. Gordon, but her uncle forbids it with no clue why. Now she is hand fasted to Jack, a rake, and her reputation is ruined for the one chance at happiness with Gavin Gordon.

Julia London has a witty sense of humor that will keep the readers laughing throughout the story. Highland Scandal is a very intense love story that explodes off the pages at the reader. Jack and Elizabeth’s story is a unique tale of opposites attract in the truest form that will have readers begging for more. Ms. London’s Highland Scandal is a romance that should not be missed by any book lover. Highland Scandal is the second book in Ms. London’s Scandal series. I truly enjoyed this romance, and I cannot wait to see what she will come up with next.
