Stasi Romanov is a white witch who runs a lingerie shop and sells a few love charms on the side. Then a customer, mad because her husband left her, is suing Stasi for love charm failure, and hires hot-shot wizard lawyer Trevor Barnes. Trevor thinks it is surely an easy case until he meets Stasi and not only does he find her very attractive but he is seeing little hearts floating over her head which generally means Cupid is involved. Stasi refuses to fall in love with a wizard no matter what Cupid says, but Trevor is a really tasty hunk of man and Stasi is weakening fast. But how can Stasi and Trevor possibly find a solution to the opposite sides of the love charm issue and the natural aversion of witches and wizards?

Wicked by Any Other Name is a fanciful, charming tale to add to the fun of the first two books by Linda Wisdom about this group of witch friends and the people who love them. I loved Stasi and Trevor and the contentious relationship they have. Stasi is intelligent, stunning, feisty, and loyal all traits that Trevor finds admirable. Trevor is gorgeous, tenacious, and determined to right a wrong. Stasi is usually the calm collected, follow the rules witch of this group of outrageous witch friends but this time she may have really done it and broken a rule. Why on earth would she risk more punishment time on Earth for a simple bad love charm? Trevor believes Stasi is guilty, but breaking the rules doesn’t seem to follow her usual pattern of behavior so could he be wrong? It doesn’t take long in the story for the attraction between Stasi and Trevor to become physical but is an outstanding relationship in bed enough to overcome their other issues? And resolving the case of the bad love charm may be the least of their worries as something evil seems to be taking over the magical lake that is so important to Stasi and her friends. I laughed and cried and was greatly entertained by Stasi and her fiends antics in this book, and I can’t wait to see what will happen in the fourth book! Set aside some time to read Wicked by Any Other Name for a zany and charming addition to Linda Wisdom’s Witch series. If you have not read the other books in this series, I highly recommend starting with the first book, 50 Ways to Hex Your Lover.
