After Rachael Henderson gets dumped at the altar for the second time then learns that her parents are getting a divorce, she decides that love isn’t for her and blames her hometown of Valentine, Texas for making her believe in fairy tales and happy ever afters. Her anger leads her straight to the town’s mascot which is a huge set of lips on the Welcome To Valentine billboard. Rachael gets her revenge on the town’s broken promises by painting the red lips black, but before she gets finished painting, Sheriff Brody Carlton shows up and arrests her for vandalizing. Rachael soon realizes that hunky Sheriff is someone she once knew. Her first crush, the first one to break her heart and the one that sent her down the road to unrealistic romantic notions.

After seeing how the town portrays the idea of love and romance, Rachael starts her own version of a romance 12-step program called Romanceaholics Anonymous which soon has the town divided into the romantic believers and non-believers.

Brody Carlton is use to the quiet life of his hometown, but as soon as Rachael shows up that all changes. The town seems to be doing nothing but fighting with each other, and someone is targeting Rachael. Brody is determined to protect her at all costs and find out who is threatening her.

Addicted to Love is a warm, lighthearted romp that shines a bright new light on the subject of love and romance. Rachael is a strong-willed heroine who wants love, but after her disastrous past relationships she isn’t sure she can trust her feelings. Brody is an honorable man with his own demons and being around Rachael makes him start to believe that real love is possible, but will he be able to convince Rachael of the same.

Lori Wilde has written a fun, exciting story filled with humor, passion and most importantly, love. The characters are well developed, a bit quirky and completely loveable. Addicted to Love is a charming tale that rates a solid 5 Angels for me.
