Feral Intensity
Feral Intensity by L. A. Day is the third book in the Faldron Shifters series.

Dirk is guarding the backs of his pack alpha Gionne who agreed to meet with the alpha of a newly formed coyote pack on an adjoining piece of land. The new pack is very small and not a match for their Valde pack, but it is always good to assess potential problems before they occur. The surprise is on Dirk when his wolf instincts come to the forefront. Dirk realizes that his mate is very near. Wolves know their mates by smell, touch and instinct and from then on they mate for life. The most startling thing is not only is Dirk’s mate male, but he is Rian, the coyote pack leader. Before Rian can approach Dirk he leaves, at this time he isn’t ready to accept the inevitable.

Months later, Rian has tried everything to get Dirk to come to him, but so far Dirk has held his ground. Dirk finally decides to make his move when Rian arrives at his door, but unknown to them, they are being watched by someone determined to prevent their alliance. Dirk and Rian have a night of inconceivable passion. Dirk learns that Rian and his pack were forced into leaving their coyote pack because of their sexual preferences, but will things be different with the Valde Pack? Who is the stranger watching dirk and Rian? Is there a threat to their very lives?

Ms. Day has continued her Faldron Shifters series with this fast paced story. It is sad to watch how different people react to homosexuality. I loved how the females were so incensed by the reactions of their mates and fought to change how Dirk and Rian were treated. I loved watching how Dirk’s attitude changed as he finally accepted Rian as his mate. The love between them is beautiful to behold. This is the first book in the Faldron Shifters series that I have read. I find the leaders of the Valde pack fascinating and can’t wait to get a hold of the first two books in the series. If you are a reader who loves stories about werewolves, then this is a series you will want to read. Thanks go to Ms. Day for a great read.
