I Heart That City: Razzle Dazzle
Razzle Dazzle by Willa Okati is one of the books in the Loose Id I Heart That City series.

Zach is a very special bartender, called a mixologist, at the I Heart That City Bar and Grill. Now Zach’s has the ability to somehow know what each customer really wants to drink, almost psychically, even if they don‘t know themselves. Zach loves his job and wouldn’t do anything else, but something or someone from his past is about to catch up with him. One year ago Zach met a man, Josef, who drew Zach to him from their first glance, but things didn’t work out, causing Zach to disappear without a trace. Now, Zach finds his past has finally caught up with him when he sees Josef looking at him in a mirror over the bar. Things between them quickly get hot and heavy until Josef leaves with a cryptic reply of “I need to think”. Zach is left hanging not knowing what just happened beyond the obvious sexual gratification. Zach doesn’t understand what happened one year ago except his panic about what their relationship truly was. What really happened to make Zach leave and what are Josef’s genuine feelings?

Ms. Okati has created a story with characters who take on a life of their own. The conflict between Zach and Josef is a complex one that neither truly understood it when they first met. Zach is a wonderful character, full of life and surprises for the reader. I personally love a man of mystery and Josef fills that bill perfectly. The setting of the I Heart That City allows for many unique individuals to arrive allowing the reader unlimited plot lines for future stories in the series. The relationship between Josef and Zach is compelling and striking for the reader. I will be waiting the next book in the I Heart That City series. Thanks go to Ms. Okati for a wonderful read.
