Buckling Down
Being a rodeo star is enough to go straight to a cowboy's head and with the movie deals, photographers and hot women it's easy to lose your focus. After living the fast life, Levi McKenna is determined to put himself back on track and win the national title. With a publicity hungry assistant and the paparazzi hounding his every move, it won't be easy to keep his eye on the prize, but Levi is set on proving he is still the bull rider that he used to be. There is probably no one better to remind him of who he really is than Sydney Hart. Imagine his surprise when he finds her crooning country songs at a hot new bar owned by his childhood friend Dusty. It looks like his luck just might be changing.

Sydney Hart is known for her bad taste in men. She's almost ready to give up on love until a certain cowboy from her past walks into her brother's bar and straight into her heart. She's not sure that she should take chance on Levi especially after seeing his face plastered all over the media with a different woman every week. Will she just be another notch in his belt or is it just tabloid gossip?

Buckling Down is a hot but sweet story about a rodeo star and the one that got away. Levi McKenna is the type of cowboy you just want to sink your teeth into. I desperately wanted him to reconnect with his roots and ditch the bright lights and annoying assistant for sassy Sydney Hart. Moira Keith did an excellent job conveying the differences between the two worlds Levi belonged to. The relationship between Sydney and Levi was spicy, but comfortable, and there was a rightness about it that was easy to feel. This was a fantastic quick read!
