It's been several years since Project Dawn was terminated and Circe's Recruits are still chasing down genetically altered rogues produced by Pearson Labs. Rampaging butchers with new abilities, the new rogue Circs are unlike anything they have ever seen. When Ace is infected with venom after being bitten by a new Circ, it triggers something primal in Kelly Malloy.

Kelly has worked for Dr. Evan Dennis for years while he has continued to monitor and care for the genetically altered men who make up Circe's Recruits. Unknown to her, Doc has been helping her block the Circ virus in her body, but something has changed and the injections are no longer working. Kelly has secretly loved and fantasized about Zach and Ace for years. Lately, her feelings have grown much stronger and she's finding that she can no longer hide the way she feels.

They are a unit within the unit. Becoming Circs bonded friends Zack and Ace in a way that both of them were unprepared to handle and they have been flirting with a relationship for years. They are close to coming to terms with their feelings when fate throws them a huge curve ball. Kelly is the one woman they have claimed as their own, but she has never shown them any interest. Life is about to drastically change for all three of them and Zack and Ace will need to come to an understanding in order save Kelly and their friendship.

I was drawn into the complicated dynamic Zack and Ace share in the first book of the Circe's Recruits series and Marie Harte certainly doesn't disappoint with this scorching tale of love, lust and self discovery. With two gorgeous men who not only want to satisfy Kelly's every desire, but ravish each other as well, it doesn't get much hotter than this. Ace's sudden decision to throw caution to the wind and explore his feelings for Zack is what really endeared me to this story though. The new developments to the overall plot of the series have me hungry for the next book and I can't wait to read more!
