Catt Ford has written a fantastic story about a young man's first experience in a BDSM lifestyle. Damian's determination to make Nick's experience exciting, safe, and consensual was more than evident. His depth of caring shined clear through his actions and words, and I knew Nick was safe. I'll admit he was bratty and I noticed an immediate change in Nick's attitude and behavior. Damian took those traits in hand and molded the younger man firmly into place. A Strong Hand depicts some sexual scenes that had me squirming in my seat. Lust and love sensually intermingled into moments of passion that added a touch of flush to my cheeks. However, I think what I loved the most was the description of the photo shoots. I felt as if I was in the room, watching the play of the lights on the subjects to create erotic photos that would tantalize even the most timid. A Strong Hand is about love, trust, commitment, and a willingness to explore your desires and voice your needs. It's worth a read or three, and I plan to add A Strong Hand to my personal list of referrals of must buy books.
