Common Powers 3: Edward Unconditionally
Edward Paul Beauregard III prefers men, it's a simple fact, and if they happen to be "bad boys", well it's all the better. Edward doesn't hide who he is, but embraces his lifestyle living life on his terms. When he speeds into Spring Lake, he takes the residents by storm, and the one he affects the most is Chief of Police Jack Whittaker.

Jack has worked hard to create a comfortable life and a respectable image by cutting away parts of his former self that he deemed weaknesses. Meeting Edward, one of the gayest men he's ever come across, is a tough pill to swallow. It's not the fact that Edward is gay that disturbs Jack. It's the fact the he's straight but is drawn to Edward's impulsive behavior and vulnerability like a moth to a flame.

Edward is offering love and a future to Jack, and has no plans of accepting less in return. Will fear lead Jack down a road to a solitary life?

Lynn Lorenz has definitely done it again with Common Powers 3: Edward Unconditionally. The characters are beautifully flawed which adds a touch more realism to their persona. Jack is man on a mission, and has a one-track mind - success, until meeting Edward throws him a curve ball. Edward knows he keeps attracting the wrong men but refuses to give up on love. The two men are a perfect blend and make a fantastic couple. I'll admit reading some of Jack's past saddened me, but I was elated to see the effect Edward was having on his heart, mind, and libido. I've added this fast-paced installment of the Common Powers series to my future re-reads collection.
