Circle of Friends: Steve's Story
Steve Sommers didn't think his week could get any worse. His fiancée has left him for her ex-boyfriend, his best friend is lying in a coma fighting for his life and to top it off, the woman he loved and who walked out on him two years earlier is back in town. It is up to Steve to hold it all together and get them through this emotional time. Although Steve knows Katie did the right thing to break off their engagement, it doesn't help that he has to watch her sit by his friend's bed every day. Nor is it easy to see Tyler's sister, Penelope, the one woman he has loved forever day in and day out.
When Penelope Bonnard returns home to Australia to be by her brother's bedside after he is involved it an accident, Pen is not prepared for the onslaught of emotions she feels seeing her ex-boyfriend with his new fiancée. When she learns Katie and Steve are no longer a couple, it is not long before the passion her and Steve shared fires up again. But Pen is hiding a secret that threatens to tear them apart.
Circle of Friends: Steve's Story is the sequel to Jess Dee's previous novel Only Tyler. Steve's Story shows us what one man will do to win back the heart of the woman he loves. Ms Dee delivers a hero determined not to let love slip through his fingers a second time. I fell in love with Steve in Only Tyler, in Steve's Story, I adored him. Jess Dee writes a compelling story of love conquering all, even when you are faced with life and death. It's a story of trust and faith, having trust in the person you love and faith that you can survive even the toughest of times.
Ms Dee's heroine is once again a strong woman fighting to protect the man she loves. My emotions ran a gauntlet of highs and lows, laughter and tears, but in the end I was entertained by a well written book, with a great story.
