The Summoner
Alexandra has been plagued by strange dreams and whispering voices-voices that sometimes terrify her and at other times intrigue her. Fed up with the one who seems more insistent than the others, she summons him. What she finds is a fallen angel with a huge set of black feathered wings and a body so sinful she can't resist him. Trying to sever their bond seems to be impossible since he keeps showing up in every reflected surface she comes across. Finally giving into his desires, she agrees to visit him in the other realm where he is imprisoned and they begin a courtship that will change her life forever.

Kasdeya had planned to call the Summoner and seduce her into releasing him. There's only one problem, he's starting to fall for her and when he finally gets his wish, it's not exactly what he intended. It seems this wisp of a girl has him under her thumb and how did that happen since he was supposed to be the one in control?

I had high hopes for this story and I actually loved the creativity with which it was written. The world was vivid, dark and different from anything else I have read. Kasdeya was mouth-watering and had me wishing for a fallen angel of my own. I loved the contradiction that Alex was. She had several personality traits that I wouldn't have thought would work together, but Alisha Steele penned her in such a way that they seemed to blend and layer into a well developed character.

My one issue with this story is that the point of view changed often and in some cases only after a few paragraphs. It was a bit jarring for me to head-hop so frequently. It took me longer than I would have liked to form the attachments to the characters I find so crucial in the novels I love.
