Sam is a special ops soldier who knows how to handle a gun, fight his way out of almost any situation, and is usually prepared for anything. That is until he realizes he has developed feelings for Dr. Daniels Evans, the squadron doctor.

Doc, however, has always had feelings for Sam. He has no idea what to do about his feelings because for as long as he has known Sam, Sam has been straight. Then a chance encounter leads Doc to believe Sam might be interested in him, and Doc decides to pursue a relationship with Sam. Too late, Doc learns that Sam is married...to a woman!

With his heart broken, Doc ignores Sam when he calls for help after his wife is attacked. But then Sam brings his pregnant bride home, and Doc learns that not only is this a marriage of convenience but that Sam still has feelings for him. Will Doc be able to forgive Sam?

As they try to build a new relationship, the danger that brought Sam home threatens to separate them forever. With the help of their friends, Sam and Doc fight to protect themselves and Sam's wife.

Stormy Glenn has definitely become a great and lasting favorite of mine. Her books speak to something in me. I really enjoyed Lovers of Alpha Squad 2: The Doctor's Patience. Sam had to grow on me as a partner for Daniel because I did not like the way he acted/reacted to his feelings for Daniel at first. It was hard not to cry when Sam pushed Doc away and broke his heart the way he did. Doc was one of the most lovable characters I have ever had the pleasure to read.
