Resonance Mates 4: Grady's Awakening
Through decades of Alvian occupation on earth, Grady Prime has been curious about human emotions. As an elite soldier, his "echoes" of emotion hover just beyond his ability to actually experience them. Upon retiring from his Prime duties, he finally has the opportunity to find out what it's like to really feel. He participates in an experiment to restore his emotions. While still adjusting to them, he meets Gina Hanson, a human adoptee of Zxerah Patriarch Ronin Prime. And Grady learns what it feels like to fall in love.

Unfortunately, when duty calls, the two lovers must separate all too soon. While Grady has been sent by the Alvian Ruling Council to track down renegade Zxerah, Sinclair Prime Past, Ronin Prime has tasked Gina with a secretive mission he knows will benefit both Alvians and humans alike. When Gina encounters rebel leader Jim Brown - a flame from her past - she's torn between her budding love for Grady and her renewed desire for Jim. When her mission converges with those of Jim and Grady, will the two men be able to set aside their jealousy to be with Gina or will they force her to choose between them? For Jim, losing Gina would be heartbreaking, but for Grady, it would mean total and all-consuming insanity.

In this fourth and longest book of her Resonance Mates series, Bianca D'Arc has packed a lot of story and superb characterization into another sizzling ménage romance. Gina and Grady create sweet music together, and I don't just mean they hum, which they do. Add sexy Jim Brown - the object of Gina's teenage fantasies - to the mix, and you have spontaneous combustion!

I absolutely loved all the characters in this novel, both primary and secondary. Gina is a likeable tough cookie with a soft center, and the dishy Grady Prime tugs the heartstrings. He's always been my favorite ongoing character in this series, and now I know why. Besides having those sexy elf ears that I frankly have some wicked fantasies about, Grady's newfound feelings bring out a sweet vulnerability in him that's almost childlike. Yet, he still has a little bit of that reserved Spocklike aura and toughness that makes me tingle in all the right places.

Oh, and talk about catchy hooks for a sequel, wait till you read the epilogue! Ms. D'Arc has left me waiting with bated breath for book five in this absolutely tremendous series.
