Mated to a Wolf
Finn York and his twin brother Eli loved going to the Wulf's Den and picking up the gorgeous women that frequented the night club, that is until he learns who or what they really are. After Finn is infected with the blood of a werewolf he grows to hate them with a deeper passion. But once he meets the beautiful female werewolf Jocelyn Swen, soon his life and his world are turned upside down. Her scent draws him to her and his hunger for her only intensifies as he denies his feelings.
Jocelyn has worked at the Wulf's Den for months and has never been attracted to one of the patrons like she is to Finn. When one night he growls at her and she picks up on his heightened scent, she sets out to make him her life mate. She doesn't expect her Uncle and head of her family to object to the union. Now both their lives are in danger.
I enjoyed reading Mated to a Wolf. It did take me a little while to get into the story, but once it started to move along I found it hard to put the book down. I think the fact that I had not read any of the novels in the series beforehand didn't help. Although Finn and Jocelyn's romance is separate from the other stories, the history of why Finn reacts the way he does would be addressed in the earlier novels. On a whole it is a good romance story. Marisa Chenery's plot is strong, her characters are certainly likeable and while there are parts of the novel that tells more than shows, it doesn't take you out of the story line.
Over all a good read, but I would suggest reading the earlier novels first. I, in the meantime, plan to read the rest of the series.
