Game Over
River Weston is a post-apocalyptic video game designer who's just a few keystrokes away from perfecting a new game that will allow even paraplegics to play and feel like they're walking again. As she continues to try out the virtual reality game, however, she just can't make the last scene work.

She innocently makes a remark that she'd sell her soul to make the game work... and the Dark Lord, or Soul Man as she calls him, takes her up on her offer, bringing her into her own game. If she loses the game, her soul is his, which is something he's more than excited about because the Dark Lord is a being tossed into this virtual prison by the Fae who are related to River, unbeknownst to her.

In the game, she meets with Chase "Hawk" Hawkins, a Guardian of the Fae who is in the prison with the Dark Lord in an astral projected experiment gone wrong. At first reluctant, then enthusiastic, about joining forces with River, they maneuver through the game where the stakes are incredibly real and the future uncertain.

Taylor Keating is the two woman writing team of Cathryn Fox and Paula M. Fox and this is their first story.

Game Over is a fast-paced, roller coaster ride of a read that flies out of the station house, throwing readers back against the seat rest, taking them on a rip-roaring journey packed with danger and adventure, not letting go until the car slides back into the station, leaving the readers breathless and panting for more.

As paranormal romances go, they're on every shelf. Vampires, werewolves, fairies. These authors, however, have added the unique concept of a video game prison, and using virtual reality to combat evil. The chemistry between River and Hawk was not only sexy, but symbiotic. These two worked well with each other as they fight not only the obstacles River's programmed into the game but the glitches that are added in, unexpected. The ending of the story is satisfying, bringing enough closure to the story so the reader won't feel that they're left hanging, but in the same respect, there's enough of a hanger that tells the reader another story is in the works. I'm not sure where the story will go from here, but I sure hope it's a continuation of River and Hawk's story. What great characters! To the writing team of Taylor Keating, kudos! I'm already a fan! Recommended Read.
