James Farrant is a werewolf, and he is also gay. Not willing to be bound by his pack's traditions, he leaves and doesn't return for ten years. Micah, who is now the pack Guardian because he will never be part of a breeding pair, has never forgotten James. The one kiss they shared has haunted him all these years, but Micah never expected his feelings to be so intense once he meets up with James again.

His Wolf Heart is an average gay romance, sadly I never felt drawn into the world or it's characters. I felt like I could never get a clear understanding of who Micah is. Next to James, Micah seemed to disappear. Also, the story could have been the same if they weren't werewolves. I didn't find that the paranormal element added anything to the story. What saves the story is that Lila Dubois has written some pretty hot love scenes in His Wolf Heart. The passion between Micah and James was the only thing that didn't feel bland or boring. His Wolf Heart is a good story if you are looking for a quick romance to pass the time, but it left me wanting more.
