The battle still wages on between demons, nosferatu, and guardians. Luckily for the guardians, when Lucifer lost his wager with Michael the gates of Hell were sealed shut and only a few demons remain on Earth. The rest of the demons are battling it out for the throne.

Irena and Alejandro are some of the best guardians. Too bad they have this love/hate relationship as they make a good pair. Unfortunately, Irena and Alejandro are going to have to put their differences aside as their help is much needed.

Demon Forged is book five in The Guardians series. Even with the background story at the beginning of this book on how the guardians came to be, I still got lost on what was going on and who some of the characters were. This is because I had not read any of the books in this series. So I strongly suggest to new readers that to really enjoy this series, you should read these books in order. I read what Ms. Brooks posts on her website called the primer. This is a brief overview to refresh readers as to what happened in the prior book. Be warned as the primer also includes a spoiler. When I read the primer, it really helped make things clearer for me. I just wished I had read this before I had finished the book. Overall, I found Demon Forged to pack lots of energy and good characters. I plan to check out all the prior books in this series. Because my vote is for the guardians to win, I give this book four angels.
