Novelist John fences with students at the University of Pennsylvania, even though most of his opponents are half his age. This doesn't bother him until it looks like one of the girls, Kelly, is hitting on him. John is too much of a gentleman to remark on it, and he thinks he's too old for her, but when the team invite him out for drinks after a tournament, John finds himself in the position of staying either at a motel or at Kelly's place.

He chooses to go with Kelly, but still refuses to see an ulterior motive until, frustrated and annoyed, she strips off in front of him and offers herself to him. John's protests quickly fade as he realises he's been set up-Kelly has wanted him as her lover ever since he joined the team, but he's been too preoccupied with the age difference to notice her interest. Now they both intend to make up for lost time!

En Garde is a fun, steamy read that'll make you feel the heat. The plot is straightforward and the story does exactly what you expect it to do, but Will Belegon presents the characters with considerable charm and self-deprecation, and this is what raises En Garde above the usual type of short erotica. A classy and sexy little read you'll enjoy.
