Tie Me Down
Genevieve is the only homicide detective in her department, and she has to work extra hard to be accepted by her fellow detectives. She has an excellent track record, the best in her department, but she still struggles to find acceptance.

Cole is back in New Orleans to do a documentary on crime, but he has another agenda. His sister's killer is still running free after seven years. After researching the detectives in the police department, he has decided that Genevieve will be the best detective to approach about reopening his sister's case. He doesn't realize that he will soon want Genevieve as far away from the case and her job as she can get. He loses his heart to her, and with a serial killer fixated on her, he is terrified he is going to lose her, just as he did his sister.

I had never read Tracy Wolff before, but after reading the blurb and reviews for Tie Me Down, I knew I just had to read it. Now that I have read it, I can say that I am a fan and will hunt out every book I can find from this talented author.

I loved Genevieve. She is so strong, stubborn and determined to find justice for each victim she comes across. Because of her job and nature, she must always be in control. I enjoyed watching her struggle to give up control to Cole because he demanded it of her. It was certainly an intense, emotional experience, and my heart pounded harder each time these two come together. Their loves scenes are passionate, erotic and scattered with light BDSM.

As much as I loved Genevieve, I felt even more for Cole. He brought forth so much emotion, especially heart break. He is such a good man, tormented because he blames himself for his sister's murder, and he transfers that over to his natural need to dominate in a relationship.

I could get nitpicky and say that there were a few things that were frustrating about this book, such as Genevieve picking up a strange man in a bar while she is investigating a serial killer, or the fact that their relationship could have gone a little smoother had they both been more honest about what was going on. However, each of these elements made this story that much more interesting for me. Without them, some of the intensity and emotional pull would have been missing.

The added suspense and danger in this book was just perfect. I was captivated by this book at page one. I can't wait to get my hands on another Tracy Wolff book!
