Capturing Karma
Book three of the Sullivan family series, Capturing Karma, puts veterinarian Matty Connors and homicide detective Brian Sullivan in a situation that test their beliefs in the unknown. Matty has visions and a history of successfully using them to help the police until it all went bad four years ago. Brian does not believe in psychics, so Matty must either be scamming them or crazy. But when Brian has nothing else to go on but Matty's "truths" to find a missing person he halfheartedly looks for her clues. When one of the "truths" appears to send them on a wild goose chase, Brian is sure Matty is nuts and the misunderstanding threatens their potential romance. Then the pieces begin to come together for Brian but he may be too late ...
Another great romantic suspense story featuring the crime fighting Sullivan family! Matty is a fascinating character, and the set up in this story is just ripe for major misunderstandings and betrayals. Matty swore to never go to the police again with her "truths," but she can't seem to avoid getting involved in this situation. Brian from the beginning doesn't take Matty seriously which puts her at risk when the word leaks out that she is helping the police. Brian promised not to tell anyone, and Matty can't trust someone who doesn't honor their word. It must just be chemistry between these two because there can't be a real relationship between two people who can't trust one another, can there? This story is the most emotionally volatile of the three books, so far in this series, be prepared to get angry, cry, and ride a roller coaster with your emotions while reading this story. I needed to rest when I finished this book, and I loved it. But I'm eagerly awaiting the next tale in this series.
