Resolution
Resolution by Carol Lynne is the fourth book in the Refuge Shifter series.

The shifters have found a place of safety in Refuge. There were problems along the way as the different kinds of shifters learned to live together in harmony. The last group, the bird shifters, were the last to arrive, but their arrival came at a cost. A group of people who hate and fear shifters somehow sprayed poisonous gas in the air which sickened many of the bird shifters. Enapay is very worried that Takoda, the man he loves, is still not improving. He seemed to have been more effected by the gas than most of the other bird shifters. Sam Sparrol, a new doctor at Refuge, can't figure out why Takoda isn't getting any better. Enapay has loved Takoda for years, but Takoda has never returned his love. Gray, a geneticist working at Refuge, isn't sure, but there is a chance that Takoda's sparrow was somehow damaged, and he may never shift again. To Takoda his sparrow is everything and that loss may be too much for him to handle. The Gray is also having difficulty dealing with his feelings for not only Enapay but Takoda also. He knows how they feel about each other and is afraid that his desires will never come to pass. Things at Refuge are stressed as they have to find a way to heal the sick bird shifters, find the culprits, deal with the negative opinion that humans have towards shifters, and all the everyday difficulties that occur.

Ms. Lynne has continued her intricate story with this addition to the Refuge Shifters series. Each story continues where the last one began keeping the reader abreast of the story line. Takoda is a fascinating character who has many inner conflicts to resolve, and as the story unfolds the reader gets to watch his character unfold and grow. Enapay is a very loving man who is willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the ones that he loves. The storyline and mystery regarding who is targeting the shifters drives the plot as the characters search for a cure. The love between Enapay, Takoda and Gray is wonderful and sad to watch as the reader watches their lives unfold. Thanks go to Ms. Lynne for another incredible addition to the Refuge Shifters series.
