Coming Out for Christmas
Andy and Nick are getting ready for what promises to be a great holiday party. Andy's cousin, Ryan, is coming home for college for the holiday party and staying with the two men. Scott, Ryan's best friend, is also coming home for Christmas and the two haven't seen each other since beginning college. Scott seems to have reinvented himself during his time away. Something Ryan feels he should probably have done as well, as the time at home has opened his eyes to his true feelings about his sexuality. But Ryan is far from ready to come out for Christmas. What happens when it happens anyway?

This is one of my first experiences reading Mel Spenser's work. This will soon be remedied though, as Coming Out for Christmas was exactly what I needed to get through the holiday season. Andy and Nick are also characters in Mel Spenser's Miss Me? although you can read this short novella separately with absolutely no confusion. I found it very easy to connect with Andy and Nick and loved reading about their life together and the people they call family and friends. This small glimpse will make you want to pick up everything by Mel Spenser's!
