Patrick doesn't think he'll ever love again after his partner of seven years dies suddenly in a car accident. After a year of mourning, he decides to move back to his home town of Houston, Texas to be closer to his brother and sisters. When he meets Sean the attraction Patrick feels is instant and can't be denied. Patrick wasn't looking for anything serious, but he also doesn't do casual very well. Sean is anything but casual. Patrick's problem is he's still very much in love with his dead partner.

Okay, it's official. I'm buying everything there is to read by Mel Spenser right now and I recommend that you do too. Rover is full of awesome characters whose emotions are very real. Patrick is introduced first in an emotional charged scene. Starting out the scene the way Mel Spenser did get the reader to automatically connect with Patrick. Sean is no light-weight either. He steals the show as well as your heart. Also, I just love it when major characters from one story are brought back as secondary characters in another story. So, you'll get to revisit some of your favorites in this novel. Rover is as steamy as it is romantic, a trait not every author seems to pull off very well, unfortunately. However, Mel Spenser does this with grace. I highly recommend Rover!
