After finding some mysterious deaths in the bayou, Louisiana State trooper, Tara Reeves, asks for the help of sexy Marc Lafayette. If Looks Could Chill is the second in Nina Bruhns' new romantic suspense series, and it is just as captivating as the first. There is a lot going on in this story, and it took me a few days for it to all settle in my mind. Bruhns does a great job of weaving together different story lines seamlessly, and the result is a book that is a roller coaster ride of non stop action. There are a few different couples with stories that move forward, and I did find myself more interested in them rather than Marc and Tara. There is just so much going on, they kind of felt in the background to me. Still, I found myself being sucked in, and the wait until the next book in the series is a hard one. Nina Bruhns has created a series that is a must read for any romantic suspense fan.
