Darren Kaestle is a fire fighter. Darren was on his way out of a burning building when he decided to do one last quick check. Luckily, he did as there was a woman in the building.

Hadyn Bernson awakens in a hospital bed. Next to the bed is a handsome man. Darren is glad Hadyn is safe because she was almost burned alive. The problem is that Hadyn is the one that started the fire but not on purpose. She has special abilities that when her emotions get out of control, Hadyn turns into a fireball. Will Darren run in the opposite direction when he learns Hadyn's secret or will he stay and help her control it?

I recently tried a Sandra Sookoo novel. I liked it so much that I had to read more books by her. What I like about Sandra Sookoo and her books is that it isn't just about the romance between the characters, but she also writes a good story to go along with it.

Just like her prior books, Safe from the Flames did not disappoint. Both Darren and Hadyn were engaging characters. They interacted well with each other. It was a good thing that Darren is a fire fighter and skilled at putting out flames as there was plenty of heat with Darren and Hadyn. Looking forward to what comes next from Ms. Sookoo.
