Atlantis Unleashed
Dr. Keely McDermott is an archeologist who has an especial affinity for the past. She can touch an object and see visions of that object's past. This ability has caused Keely hardships all her life, isolating her from her parents and her peers. A source of comfort is a hand carved wooden fish that brings her visions of a blue-haired warrior that fuels many a fantasy.

Lord Justice sacrificed himself to save his brother and has spent the last several months in the Void being tortured to the edge of insanity. The only thing keeping him going are the periodic visions he has of Keely. But Justice has a few secrets of his own. He is part Nereid and his dual natures have always been at war. The only thing they agree on is that they want Keely and he will have her no matter the cost. Even if he has to protect her from the evil that has been unleashed upon her trail

Being the third in the the Warriors of Poseidon series I was expecting Atlantis Unleashed to have a similar feel to the previous two books. At times it was a bit formulaic in tone e.g. alpha male, damsel in distress but possessing a backbone, opposing forces, not to mention plenty of sexual tension and danger. But Atlantis Unleashed diverges from the others in the multiple plot arcs that take place in the story. There are several teasers mentioned that give readers a glimpse into possible future books in the series. While well written there were times that the story dragged for me but for the most part it moved along at a nice pace. As for the characters I liked Justice and Keely and thought they were a good match. Of the two I was more enamored of Lord Justice. I really like a tortured male character and watching him struggling to accept the two very different sides of his nature made him especially delicious. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing where Alyssa Day takes us next in this wonderful world.
