Conventional Education
Trent and Luke are back in this sequel to Conventional Wisdom, and once again they meet at a con-MichiCon, in this case. Trent has done well for himself with his expertise in computer gaming, and Luke is still doing the con circuit on behalf of his popular sci-fi TV show. It's been six months since they last saw one another, though they've been having regular phone sex, and their reunion is hot and explosive.

But while both men were hoping for the chance for their long-distance relationship to become something more, the path to true love isn't easy. Trent grumbles when he finds out he's contractually obliged to speak at a couple of gaming panels. Luke, who's struggled with his sexuality as part of his Hollywood image, gets a huge shock when his TV co-star Richard reveals he's gay. Richard quickly realises that Luke and Trent are a couple and offers his support and friendship if Luke wants to make his own come-out, but the offer sends Luke into a panic. Worse is to come, though, when Luke discovers that Trent's boss is planning to steal Trent's ideas and fire him. Can Luke put his own fears and pride aside to save the man he loves?

If you enjoyed Conventional Wisdom, you'll love Conventional Education. The sex is hotter and more intimate, the secondary characters are just as much fun and are well rounded enough to be interesting without stealing the limelight, and there's just enough con geekery to please aficionados without baffling readers who have never been to a convention. I particularly liked all the fan fiction references and the way Richard's partner saw Trent's computer game as being homoerotic-that scene really made me laugh because it's so true to life. There's a lot going on in the story, too, and it all comes together beautifully at the end. Conventional Education is another winner from T. C. Blue!
