Insolence
When Ainsley Connor walks into her long time best friend Aric Calderwood's BDSM club Insolence, he thinks she's there to find a sub for the night to play with. A strong woman like Ainsley would never be there for any other reason. But then she tells him she's there to be his sub and the bottom of his world drops out from underneath him.

Aric has loved Ainsley for many years, but has never claimed her as his because of her fierce confidence and capable demeanor. What he discovers in her is a fierce desire to be claimed by the man she's always wanted.

Everyone has heard of the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover". This is incredibly apropros here. There is often the apparent misconception that a strong-willed, intelligent, independent woman cannot be a submissive. It's an annoying misconception, which actually fuels the thought that perhaps it takes an especially dominant and equally strong man to top such a woman. Ainsley's submission is all the more special for her desire to submit to not just anyone... but Aric.

The journey of not only Ainsley's submission but also Aric's dominance is a sight to behold, wrenching from the reader deep emotion as these lifelong friends discover a new side of their relationship. It's a short story, granted, but has more depth and emotion than some longer novels. A fabulous read, delicious and arousing, perfect for hot summer nights.
